Hyderabad: Harbhajan Singh’s devastating century helped India take a lead of 122 runs against New Zealand in the first innings of the second Test. Bhajji and Sreesanth shared a record partnership and added 105 runs for the tenth wicket. While the hosts were bundled out for 472, Bhajji remained unbeaten on 111.
It was Bhajji’s second consecutive ton in Test cricket. He hit seven sixes and as many boundaries in his unbeaten knock. Earlier, Sehwag missed his ton by a whisker and got dismissed on 96. Laxman too played fine knock of 74.
Electing to bat first, the Kiwis were bowled out for 350 in their first inning. Bhajji and Zaheer Khan claimed 4 wickets each.
